We are coordinating a global research project to assess the impact of urban and social environmental exposures on blood pressure across the life-course. This initiative seeks to involve exposome cohorts from diverse regions worldwide, including low- and middle-income countries.

Are you part of a cohort study with relevant exposome data to answer this research question? Join us in running local or collaborative data analyses and contribute to impactful global meta-analyses.

Complete our form by 15 September

Our two main objectives are:

  • Evaluate access to and usability of FAIR data (especially geospatial and social variables).
  • Use available cohort data to explore exposome-wide associations with blood pressure. We will initiate a global meta-analysis of exposome–blood pressure associations over the life course.

Why take part?

By participating, you can contribute to advancing exposome science and gain visibility within the IHEN community. You will benefit from:

  • Research impact – Selected cohorts will contribute to high-impact research addressing critical exposome questions, including co-authorship on published meta-analyses or other publications resulting from this collaboration.
  • Expertise and training on the exposome – We will offer training on the use of advanced exposome tools, such as the new exposome maps from EXPANSE.

How do I join?

Complete an online form by 15 September answering key questions about your dataset to help us assess whether it aligns with our project. Please complete a separate survey for each different cohort/dataset.

Each responsible institution can make their own decisions about the levels of collaboration. Options include:

  • Only share metadata (i.e. codebook with available data domains in the cohort)
  • Grant data access for analysis (i.e. data transfer).
  • Run your analyses locally with your team (i.e. no data transfer) and participate in meta-analyses.

Next steps

Once you completed the online form, we’ll reach out to you with next steps. If you have any questions or need support with the form, please reach out to Augusto Anguita, Junior Research Leader at ISGlobal.

Help us advance exposome research and making a global impact.
